War of Elements uses one standard deck of 52 cards. The player gets the first card and then, a short time afterward, the dealer also gets a card. The cards on the table are compared and the winner is determined; the result of the game can be a win for either the dealer or the player. War is possible if the player and dealer’s cards are the same: in this case, there is no winner, and this is the third possible result of the game.
